Nashville

We are in Nashville.....visiting family and having a much needed break from work....missing hubby something crazy (can't wait to see him!).....

At the airport in Baltimore....he was excited to see our plane had arrived....little did he know that our crew wasn't there yet and we would have to wait another hour....

On Saturday, I got to see my cousin play soccer in Nashville. She goes to University in a neighbouring state and just so happened to be playing the Saturday we were here. Adrien had more fun playing in the rain under the bleachers!

The reason we came was to promote his relationship with his cousins.....we went out for dinner and he and his cousin were just loving on each other

My sister has 4 wheelers, we have been spending a lot of time on them, zooming around, racing and speeding.....

The boys.....he is so happy to be here.....running around, playing with family and friends

We went to the Zoo....it has the most awesome playground.... (photo by my sister)

We fed the lorikeets....I didn't know how he was going to react to the birds flying and swooping around our heads but when that first bird came to drink nectar from his cup, his eyes said it all!

More pictures to come! and stories to follow.....

silly us

It's Sunday.....we are visiting my Grandparents...waiting for the cheese strudel to bake and playing with my 81 year old Grandma's MacBook.....she's awesome, just saying! With a MacBook, comes Photobooth......we love it!
The weather has been stunning the last few days and we have been taking advantage of it. On Friday, I picked up girl cousins after work and did a surprise pick up of Adrien at daycare. He had no idea they were coming and was so happy! We played on the street for about three hours, the girls making fast friends with the kids on the street. On St. Patricks day, we again played out side most of the evening after dropping the girls off at home.....and today, we are here, visiting with my sweet aging grandparents. I love being able to wash their dishes and clean up as a teeny tiny token of how much they have done for me throughout my life. Next we are off to Nonno's house to visit with Zio....the boy and I leave on Friday for Grandma's, Zia's and boy cousins for a week......too excited!

Weekend Away

Adrien and I went to my friend's cottage for the weekend. It's an old farm house on 100 acres.....It's stunning....we had to walk a kilometer into the house (on the driveway) and there were would stoves! We ate, played, lounged and had a FABULOUS time......It was food for the soul!

So interesting things I've been learning lately. The first is that supposedly Tim Horton's strategically promotes their Roll up the Rim to Win during the Church season of Lent, so that people don't give up coffee for Lent....smart....but not as a regular coffee drinker, I don't care.....as a mo who likes to go out and do things with her son, we now head to Tim Horton's for dates. The tradition all started last week with a "free coffee" on my rim....so I took the boy to the local spot. I ordered a coffee and donut, he got a milk and donut. We chatted, we laughed, we drank, we ate, we had a good time.....I love that kid....
